Snow… in April?!

I woke up for the Dawn prayer this morning to find it snowing. I’ve heard of April showers… but not April snow!

The weather in London has been extremely diverse these past few days: it was the hottest day of the year so far on Friday, dull and overcast with rain yesterday (typical April weather) and today… well, you can see for yourself!

These shots are were taken from within the confines of my warm bedroom, looking out into the back garden.

Snowy Garden

My mum’s flowers must be very confused…

Snow Snow Snow

For some strange reason, my neighbours store their spare wheelbarrows on the roof of their shed.

Catching a Snowflake

The mendhi was done by a friend last night at my party. :)

Your hand is beautiful… don’t you know plumpness is apparently a sign of beauty? ;) :p

  6. Snow in April!…

Well, it doesn’t snow that often in England anyway, but snow in April is really unusual (though I’ve witnessed snow in Spring in the past, in the early 1990s when I was at boarding school in Suffolk) particularly when it’s……

  10. Snow in April s not unusual here in Denmark, but this winter has very cold and windy, and when you have wind and freezing temperature, it feels like -20C.

Your palm is beautiful, sis. Don’t worry so much about whether it looks plump or whatever.

  16. Jazakallah peeps for the hand compliments… though your comments have kinda made me feel a bit self-conscious!

teagirl, do you also work in a lab? ;)

Shan, I didn’t play any games in the end. It didn’t seem like the right crowd for that, and people were chatting away… but near the end of the night, when there were only six of us left, I decided to break out a few henna cones I had sat in the fridge. That seemed to work well.

  20. I checked my spam folder, and it isn’t there, so it must have been a problem with the browser when you posted the comment.
