Dreams Can Come True
I dreamt that one of my former colleagues, a French postdoc, invented a device that could convert ATP into electricity – a form of biofuel, i suppose.
Now I can’t get the dream out of my head! Am i supposed to act on this?!
It was quite a funky little machine: lots of coloured bulbs and diodes; like something out of a science fiction B-movie.
I’m going to e-mail her and ask if she had the same dream!
When did you dream it? Before or after Fajr? Were you thinking about ATP and electricity before you fell asleep? (I wouldn’t put it past you! :p)

If Dreams can come true, I should be in a weird flying machine at the moment with an old witch, on a quest, to find out an unknown secret from an old, unknown man with a friend and my sister.

There was this one episode of The Simpsons where Homer dreams of this amazing invention that’ll make him rich, but every time he tries to catch a glimpse of it something gets in the way, all he knows is that everyone keeps going on about how amazing it is… it was funny.
But yeah, that would be amazing. I want my car to run on ATP!

Manas, I do remember asking a similar question in my dream, and remember that living organisms would be used (microbes?). I also suggested adding ATP synthase to the reaction mix.

Salam alaykum. Just a suggestion that I’ve tried to take on myself; when a person does something soely for the sake of Allah, its best to keep it between him and God, i.e. not publicizing that you are doing this and that, etc. By doing so, we are inshallah protected from any kibr (arrogance/vanity) which the devil will try to seduce us with. Just a thought, it’s something important in my life that I try to apply, you already know what I mean, and just wanted to share… Allahu alam.
